Here are a few groups and organizations that promote diversity and inclusion in the outdoors/hiking community. I firmly believe outdoor spaces are FOR EVERY ONE and EVERY BODY, but there is still a lot of work to be done to make our trails an accessible and safe space for all. These organizations are doing amazing work in their communities and helping to break the narrative that outdoor spaces are only for white, fit, able bodied, athletic, straight, cis males.
Also included are the Trail Associations I’ve supported and volunteered with for their stewardship of the trails we hike and for the work they do advocating for the preservation of our National Scenic Trails.
